Line Brandt

My name is Line. I live in Silkeborg in Denmark, and was born on 4 June 1991. At the moment I am primarily a triathlete, but I also compete in duathlon and running, especially cross-country. At the beginning of 2019 I came in 2nd overall in the Danish championships, which meant I was selected for the Danish national team that would defend the red and white colours at the World championships on our home ground in Aarhus.

2018 was my first season as triathlete, duathlete and runner, when among other things I won the duathlon in my AG, came in 2nd in the World duathlon championships in my AG, and 2nd in the Copenhagen Ironman in my AG. These results have whetted my appetite even more, so my target for the 2019 season is to qualify for the World Ironman championships in Hawaii. 2019 will also be my first season participating professionally in the duathlon field.

Although I am still quite green in these sports, I have played elite football most of my life. Among other things, I have played at the top of the women’s premier league, lived and played football in the USA for four years, and played in the Danish national youth football team. In 2017 I decided to hang up my football boots, because I wanted to complete an Ironman in 2018.

Besides my sport, I work full time as a project manager with Arla Foods, where I try to get everything to fit smoothly together by training before and after work. I give my sport very high priority. Not only does it take a lot of time, but it also requires considerable resources to achieve high ambitions like mine. For that reason I really appreciate my strong and indispensable working partners, who in their different ways provide me with the best foundation for my performances, both in training and in races.

Collaborating with Fusion secures me the smartest and most comfortable and functional training and racing kit on the market. Even before I started collaborating with Fusion, their brand was already my absolute first choice. Triathlon, duathlon and running are very different from football because the clothing is designed with a close fit to reduce wind resistance, which I just had to get used to at first. That did not take long, however, with Fusion’s comfortable sportswear with carefully selected materials for all kinds of weather, hot sun, rain or cold. The fit is extremely well designed, whether it is for running, cycling, triathlon or something completely different. When I started collaborating with Fusion and gradually came to know the firm better, I became aware of their focus on the environment, which I also value highly.

Besides Fusion, I collaborate with Dania Bikes, who help by enabling me to ride on one of the best cycles on the market, and Black Inc. who provide me with fast, high-profile wheels for racing events. 2XU ensure with their wet suit that I come faster though T1, and High5 ensures a high level of energy for both training and racing. Farstad Optik help me to see clearly through contact lenses and sunglasses, and the car dealer, Poul Munk, has enabled me to get to training camps to make the final preparations for the start of the season. Finally, I could not do without my collaboration with Multiperformance, where Martin, my coach, takes care of planning my training every single day.
